HELP SUPPORT MY VISION
Become a Volunteer
I would love for you to join my small, but dedicated team focused on completing this project. During this phase, I need help with:
- Editing: to weave my poetry, war footage, and personal story into a cohesive narrative.
- Sound design: to clarify dialogue and amplify my spoken poems (using real ambient war sounds).
- Music composition: to integrate my family’s song (opening/closing theme), Sudanese folk music, and my original sung recordings.
- VFX: to overlay poem text and stabilize shaky clips.
- Color correction: to balance dark scenes and highlight hope.
- Subtitling: for global audiences (10+ languages).
- Archival research: to pair news clips/protest footage (MIT, global) with my poems.
- Legal support: for participant contracts and fair use guidance (short, transformative news clips)
- Promoters/content collaborators for visibility
- Translators (any languages)
- Volunteer social media managers
- Website maintenance (training will be provided!)
- Logo design
